Air Force mini-shuttle X-37B

Air Force mini-shuttle X-37B operations may move to Space Coast: The U.S. Air Force is thinking about consolidating mysterious mini-shuttle operations at Kennedy Space Center or Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, the service said today (9/27).

This is kind of interesting--and has ramifications far beyond its current reported mission.

Boeing X-37 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "The X-37 Orbital Test Vehicle is a reusable robotic spaceplane. It is a 120%-scale derivative of the Boeing X-40,[5] measuring over 29 feet (8.8 m) in length, and features two angled tail fins.[3][26] The X-37 launches atop an Atlas V version 501 rocket with a Centaur second stage.[19][3] The X-37 is designed to operate in a velocity range of up to Mach 25 upon its reentry"
